i got a true percula to start my tank off yesterday. so far he hasn't really left the corner of the tank. im assuming this is just him getting used to the new environment so far. now i want to get a anemone for him. so the one i like at the pet store was in a different tank than the one i got. in that tank there was a black and white true percula that hosted wtih the anemone and would not leave its side. so if i buy that anemone is this going to cause a problem for my true percula.

or what if i buy the anemone and the black and white percula. what kind of problems is this going to have.

or is it just way to early to be buying anything else for the tank?

let me know what you guys think

thanx

How long has your tank been set up? Anemones are not easy to keep in new tanks as your parameters are not stable.

Sounds like your new clown is just getting used to his new home. I would give your tank some time to adjust before you add more livestock.

They will take to most anemones in captivity, but nothing is guaranteed. I've had clowns host different corals and never look at the anemone so you will never be 100% sure.

the tank has been set up for a few weeks. i know a rushed it a lil bit but couldn't help my self. my water was testing perfect though according to my local pet store (for what its worth)

I would wait on the anemone. They need pristine water. Are you using ro/di water?

ps. never trust the fish store. 90% are out to sell you things. Try to buy your own test kits. Salifert seem to be the best, but I've had API before and they were ok. you have a refractometer too?

ya i dont have alot of turst in the pet store i know what your saying. Im using ro water and i think it is di also. im going to have to look into that to make sure though.
i thought ro was the important thing to use so i didnt really look into di. but i have read alot of the forums here and now i just need to check with my supplier.
