Couple misc. NPS questions :)

First question: Do you NPS owners have other fish in your tank? I ask because I feed my sun coral cyclopeeze for the first time (having never fed that stuff before) and lots of the little specks of it went all around the tank - my green clown goby and female clown had a hay day, but stopped eating it after a few minutes. My little male clown just wouldn't stop eating - now his belly is VERY full looking and I'm worried. :(

Second question: Is there a list somewhere of all or most of the names of NPS corals? I'd like to take a look at all of the potential beauties out there! :)

Thanks

Lots of fish. Try feeding your sun mysis they like it better and it fills them up. Cyclops are little small for them. Your clown well....just Thanksgiving for him. Put a game on the TV and give him a couch and he will be fine.

LOL I love it. :) I was just so worried with his little belly getting so FAT!

I actually did feed my sun mysis yesterday, but I heard lots of good things about cyclops so I figured I'd give them a try. Wowzer... what a mess. On the plus side -my other clown went nuts for the cyclops too (and she turns down frozen brine and mysis!)

While I'm at it - can you think of any other foods that would be good for my sun coral? I've currently got Rod's food, mysis, brine, and now the cyclopeez.

Thanks again! :)

Hey Arizona,
On my suns I feed mysis and rods coral food mixed twice weekly. Every once and a while I will hand feed the sun's mysis by itself. they seem to like it. Unlike yours mine dont come out durring the day :( however they do love dinner time! I would also discourage the use of cyclops by itself as it is messy and the sun's will only grab so much and the rest of it just goes to waste in the tank or too other inhabitants. The only problem with mysis by itself is that it's nutritional value isn't all that high so when I do this I use something called reef roids, I believe it's by a company called polyp labs or something like that. works well and stinks just as much :P

Great info, thank you! Next time I stop at the LFS that carries it, I will pick up some of the coral-food Rod's. :) (I've already got the original "complete reef" version and the fish version). And I'll check out the reef roids. :)

Thanks again! :)
