I know.. I got rid of all my clean up crew cause I got tired of cleaning up after them.... Plus, got a snail in my overflow and it caused one heck of a mess.. Hope to have the algae under control soon.....

All in all, things are really doing quite well...

Using Fragmags. They are magnetic frag plugs.

Thanks. Actually, I plan to move all my SPS to the mags. With all the pests going around ( Got a wicked case of Monti Nudi's) it is really nice to be able to simply remove them for treating, etc...

most acros grow better when you mount the frags sideways anyway.. they branch out faster.... My Tort went insane on me when I mounted it sideways... like a bush now

Oh BTW,, if you are still using Mrs Wages,, you might want to switch to regular Kalk,, thats where the phosphates are coming from that growing your algea.... just a FYI....... Mrs Wages isnt clean Calcium Hydroxide.. Too inconsisntant for the needs in this hobby IMO

Test it your self..... ortho phospates.... dont get me wrong,, no system is totally P04 free ,, and corals use some of it.. but knowingly putting it in my tank .. hmmm,, Id have to think about that one unless I was farming macro's !

Can you/I test RO?DI water with mrs wages with a salifert po4 test kit?
Will it work without SW?

BTW. last week I tested the tank water for po4 and it was indictable.
