Hi there,
I brought yesterday home my first gigantea anemone, I chosed best lookling one out of whole bunch.. anemone looked healthy in shop.. sticky tentacles, tight mouths , fully infalted, no visible injuries, its basal disk was attached to substrate..
here is one shot , anemone was already in my tank (well, not the best looking one, MH was still out)
yesterday I offered some squid, anemone didn't seem to be interested so i decided to wait for a day and try again..
today I offered silverside which was greedily accepted,
hehe, note shrimp trying to snach its meal
however when I came home from work later today I saw anemone deflated which made me nervous.. Its mouths still looks fine, anemone is still attached to bottom, still sticky and so, but completley deflated.. I went through lot of deflating drama with my magnifica before it finally got through it so basicaly I know it doesn't neccesarily have to mean worst.. but again dunno is this behaviour common for new carpets as well? Tried to search up answers here at forum before asking about it but haven't found much.. So, should I worry about it or its just something I have to pass again as i did with ritteri? Could it be the fish? looked fresh to me.. Some tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated
thx. for your time
