Been Reefin'
Hey everyone I just wanted to show some pics of my tank and a little equipment rundown to see if everything is in a good line for an sps tank. I can't wait to get out of college and into a bigger house for a large Tanks something like 72x36x24 or so. Would be nice anyways.

Light: Maybe a little on the weak side, but I am loving the color and have for the last couple years. 2x250w HQI on Pfo electronic ballast running 20k xms, and 2x110w vho super actinics. It's just my taste.

Sump/fuge: I am running a 40g long with a 15-20g deep sand bed fuge and about 35lbs of live rock with a big bunch of chaeto growing away.

Frag tank inline: The 40g cube frag tank is run by an iwaki 70rlt t'd for the main tank also. The flow in the frag tank is about 1000gph running through 2x3/4" eductors. Water then falls to another 20g sump that gravity feeds back to the main sump. The CS8-3 ER skimmer, and phos reactor is housed in the 20g sump. In the 40g stand is the ca reactor and Bottle.
Frag Tank light: 1x250w DE Oceanlight pendant.

CA RX: Currently running an mrc-1, 20lb bottle, gen-x regulator, and gen-x media.

Filtration: Fuge/DSB/Chaeto, Rock etc...

Flow: The main tank has a closed looped with a sequence barracuda on a manifold to two oulets into the tank, and about 500gph from the return.

Chiller: Pacific Coast Imports 1/4hp.

Anything that may need adjusting? Thought about more flow, but the polyps whip like mad as it is and a few of the nozzles are pointed behind the rocks. Next bulb change may go with 14k pheonix's, I don't know though. Whata ya think?

nice frag tank...i like its shape...even better than display...switch it over!!!!

dont get me wrong display looks good but i really like those cube like tanks with the depth to the back

Thanks Znut and Serioussnaps. SS I agree the cube is much nicer than my display, but also has 1/2 the space for rock and coral. It is was an 80g I would definitly be using it, but had it built for a frag tank only. It will get me by for a few more years.

Lgoins the concept is pretty much like a tunze etc. It has a small hole that blows through the center while that water being forced through pulls more water to make it increase flow. Hard to explain, but here is a link of penductors which are pretty much the same thing. HTH.
