covering TUNZE inlets

was wondering how many cover their TUNZE stream inlets. i was concerned about overheating w/ a mesh cover to prevent RBTA from being sucked in...

yes but didn't get much feedback. spoke to roger and he said he would only use it temporarily as he was worried about potential overheating if the mesh became clogged if left unattended. i don't leave my pumps clogged though, if i see anything on inlets i get it off right away.
i would really like to hear from someone who has had their streams covered.

email karen (link posted in the TUNZE thread), she uses what looks like needlepoint mesh on her SEIO's which are a lot like TUNZE's, imo. I think that if you keep the intack clean it should be fine, i have to periodically clean stuff out of the tunze intact as it is anyway!

i have exactly what she uses in black. that's tonight's project. RBTA coming tomorrow...

Ah, was it in the cross-stich, needlepoint section? the wife and I are planning to stop by there this evening and pick some up. hopefully they'll have black!
