cow fish question

I had a bad moring two days ago, I forgot to turn the flow back on the tank at nigth and then in the morning the cow fish and a few other fish were dead. But afte some reading i'm ot sure the cowfish was dead before i got rid of him.....

my question:

Do they can go to "sleep" when they are stressed. I put him in a QT tank for 2 hous with no movment and then got rid of him....i wonder if he was just sleeping....oh gosh i hope not. Now i really feel like crap....


but then other stuff was dead in the tank too so it may not hae been the case, i just have no way of knowing now. I just thought after two hours of no movment he was done....anyone know?

Chances are the cowfish was dead. IME if it's not moving gently poke it to see if it responds. This doesn't always work but it's worked for me. Sorry to hear about the cowfish though. I've had one in my 90 for almost 3 years now, should you attempt another one be forewarned: they are CHAMPION POOPERS!!!

yeah i know that guy could eat more than me! he didn't move at all i even got him in a small fish collection bucket and he didn't move, but he didn't float upsaide down.....
