cow fish stuck in my carpet nem

Well apparently my cowfish decided that he wanted a piece of food that was floating into my carpet nem. he got stuck and I had to pry him out of it. he now has what looks to me like either the scales came off him or part of the anemone stuck to him!

should I be concerned? do I have to do a freshwater dip for him to help sterilize anything. it doesn't look good. please help

I would honestly leave it be

It's a poisonous fish that if stressed too much can kill everything in the tank.

It's already stressed about the anemone sting and a freshwater bath alone with the stress of handling it to and from the main display will just cause more unneeded stress. You could put it in the sump if you have room for a time out.
