Cowrie tiger

I have heard that a cowrie snail will eat aptasia, my old cowrie appeared to much on them, but after a tank change he appeared to almost starve to death (my shame)
Anyone else ever heard/seen this ?

I have 2 dwarf ringed cowries, never seen them eat aiptasia, if they do, they dont do it enough to notice.

 

[Reef Frog]

I had the larger cowrie years ago and it was sold as a "Tiger". The shell was beautiful but it only came out at night so the entertainment value was limited. I don't recall it eating aptasia but who knows, it might have been. I removed it after I found it moving over a patch of yellow polyps.

Never had the ring cowries but I read they're reef safe and a good invert to have.
