CPR bakPak skimmer attachment question

Anybody got the little black box attachment that acts as a surface skimmer? If so, what size is it internally? I have one, and it apparently does not fit the MJ1200. Unless mine is a knock-off. So, do I have to buy one of those Rio models powerheads? I heard they stink. My MJs have been pretty good. I was hoping I could drop the MJ1200 right in but once again, another p.i.t.a. to make things difficult, and twice as expensive.

I already have the CPR box. I am intrigued by the mods they are doing on the impeller, although my current mod with the venturi tube seems just fine for making bubbles.

It appears that there are two versions of this skimmer box, a smaller older model, and a new larger model. Both have the same catalog number. They made it larger after new powerheads came along. So now I have this smaller skimmer box and it won't fit my powerhead, might need to figure out Plan B.
