Crab and seahorse compatability

We are looking to find some sand sifting critters to live in our seahorse tank. Research shows us that the Halloween Hermit Crab and Scarlett Reef Hermit might be the best option. Anyone know if that is OK? Also any Gobies that would work in the tank as well? Or options to keep the sand clean because of the low flow? We have a 45 Gallon tank with 2 Kuda seahorses and 1 banded pipefish and a few small corals.

What do you mean by low flow?
Seahorses are fine in areas of low, medium and high flow as long as they can't be blown against something and injured.
My seahorse tanks probably average about 15X but there are hobbyists with more flow than that.
Can't help on the crabs as I don't have substrate or crabs in any of my tanks, reef or seahorse.

I have the following invertebrates in a tank with H. erectus and/or in a tank with H. zosterae, and have had no problems:

scarlet legged hermit crabs
porcelain crab
cleaner shrimp
pederson shrimp
peppermint shrimp
randalls pistol shrimp
mithrax crab
boring urchin
zebra legged hermit crabs
pink serpent star
starfish

I keep a scarlet,blue-legged,and a burrowing crab(? looks like a small fiddler crab) with no problems.I have a watchmen, mandrin, and purple firefish goby in my seahorse tank that do just fine. The only one(that comes to mind their might be more) I would not put in their is an engineer goby they move too much sand and if you have an older sand bed there is no telling what they will stir up,not to mention the chance for a "rock slide".
