Crab breeding????

Is it possible to breed hermit crabs? If so how? i am in the process of getting a mantis shrimp and i love to breed brine shrimp (to cut down on cost with feeding my display tank) but is there any way i can breed hermit crabs to cut down on food expences?? ty for your imput.

I think I read someone say they bred fiddler crabs to feed an eel. Those would get a little big for a mantis though, and the person might have just bought fiddlers and had a holding tank for them.
