crab id

found this on a piece of LR today...


hairy legs, purple markings on legs and claws, red tips on claws.

2cm in length. Pink colouration on its backside.... sorry about the blurry pics.

Can't ID it for you. But it's a safe bet that it is NOT reef safe.

It kind of looks like a Boxing Crab, which IS supposedly reef safe.

looks like an Xanthid crab to me, of some kind. not something you want in the tank. they can be very destructive.
