Crab only tank

I am looking to make a crab only tank, do marine crabs need land or all water? I like the emerald crabs. I have a ten gallon terrarium tank, will have sand not yet set up. Also how different are marine crabs from other ones? These will be my first crabs though i have experience with fresh water fish. I will need crabs that don't need all or majority water since it is a second hand reptile tank and I don't think it could hold alot of water safely. I tried to find answers online but didn't have much look. Thanks in advance.

All the crabs you see for sale for marine tanks are fully aquatic. The more water volume, the more stable your tank. Good luck.

Thank you I may wait to get a proper fish tank to have fully aquatic crabs then. Thanks for the quick response, I think land hemits may be the way to go then

Marine crabs are pretty easy to care for. I like porcelain crabs. Some crabs, such as gorilla crabs, can be aggressive though. I bet plenty of reefers will be willing to donate their crabs to you when you're set up; people often regret buying crabs for reef tanks, or find them as hitchhikers. Good luck.

Maybe, I don't have the space for a third tank right now nor the time for three (in my opinion what's one more? But my parents won't agree)

Get a stone crab, grow it, eat it. All crabs sold for saltwater tanks are fully aquatic. A good, cheap, easy crab are hermits. A good, teeny bit expensive, easy crab is emerald crab. A good, bit expensive, interesting, easy crab is an arrow crab. A good, more expensive, entertaining, interesting, easy crab is the Pom-pom crab.

What about fiddler crabs? I know they are brackish and not marine. But can anyone tell me if they are fully/semi/non aquatic?

Fiddlers are semi.
I have heard Uce pugens and Uca pugnax are cultured in saltwater and should be fully tolerant of oceanic saltwater, though in nature they are found in brackish water that can intermittently reach ocean salinity. You don't necessarily need to set up a paludarium; a small container underwater with an airtube (possibly air pump too?) will provide for the terrestrial needs.

Just thought I would update you guys, I ended up going with a male red claw crab, called "king of the north" he is currently in fresh water but I will be getting him marine salts after the weekend.
