The LFS has a few pom pom crabs(also known as boxing crabs) in stock, and I absolutely love the little guys. From what I've read, they should be fine in my tank(10G reef), but I'm concerned with aggression from shrimp or hermits.
In my 10G, I have a large blood shrimp, and small peppermint and cleaner shrimp. All three shrimp get along fairly well, but I occasionally them having little 'turf wars', where one will pounce at another. No harm is ever done, but I'm concerned the crab, if attacked, wouldn't get away from them quick enough.
In addition to the shrimp, I have several hermits, the biggest of which is about an inch.
Does anyone know how shrimp act around these crabs? I'd rather not buy one just to have it get attacked.
