Okay, so I got the new Octopus DNW-150 recirc skimmer from TitansFan, and finally got it all plumbed in, and got the new orings for it.... I go to hook it up, and yep! I broke it... stupid me, I'm ALWAYS doing this with the small unions. Basically, this piece http://www.marinesolutionsinc.com/c...i-Assembly-for-the-OTP-3000/product_info.html was tightened down too far, and it cracked at the base. Unfortunately, it's glued up with a metric union and elbow, so I can't exactly order this and be good to go. I'm trying to track down a replacement part, and if all else fails, I'll try to source the appropriate metric union, elbow and connector pipes to make my own, but I may be outta luck all around.
The way that it cracked it perpendicular to the outlet hole, at the base. Essentially, parallel to the threads. It's not broken all the way around, so I'm thinking I might be able to repair it. I just need some ideas on what to use. This is a thin walled plastic, not PVC, just like a "normal" plastic. Honestly, I could probably super glue it to get it back together, and then run a bead of silicon around the whole thing, but am curious to what you all think.
Thanks for the help, as always, in advance!
