hello everyone. Here is what i have. a 40g breeder at petco new for a buck a gallon. 165w pc lighting in 6700k and 460/420 blue. 40lbs of lr from established tank. plenty of frag plugs and eggcrate. a large powerhead and roughly 200 dollars left to help with the build.
Corals = zoas, xenia, and mushrooms
I was thinking hang on back skimmer and some live sand.
also is there a way to set the frags up to get optimal growth? when i ask this question is it better to have the eggcrate level (or sloped or layed for frag light level and seperation)? if the powerhead is going from left to right does an up slope or down slope help? I saw garf use plastic cups, does anyone else frag this way? Should i add a fish or two when the tank has cycled? What is the best salinity and temp for coral growth, or is species based? The you tube videos show a lot of fragging being down with a black mesh. Does anyone know where this mesh can be purchased?
Also if you could please let me know what you have done to help boost growth i would really appreciate the input.
