Creating and Ricordia Nano Cube? Lighting / Flow?

I am looking at the possibility of setting up a nano for my ricordia mushrooms. I am looking in the 12-14 gallon range. I currently have them in a tank hooked into my main system under T5 HO lighting, they love it.

I am wondering do you think a 2x24w fixture on the JBJ or Oceanic nanos would be sufficient for ricordia? I would plan on eventually upgrading it to a 3x24w setup from nanotuners but unsure I would do this right from the start. I would imagine the 3x24w would be adequate.

What do you think for flow? Is the stock flow of these tank sufficient? I would more then like do the pump upgrade to a MJ1200 or soemthing similar.

Any opinions/suggestions would be great. I have never run a setup with PCs always done halide, VHO (back in the day) or T5.

Thanks!

i have stocked a good friends nano-cube w 2x24w pc full of ricordea, bubble mushrooms, and discosoma sp mushrooms.

everything seems very happy with the stock setup, he has one blue bulb and one white bulb. put the blue up front so that the eye sees that first. they seem happy but i think they could handle more light. it may not be necessary but i think that the different lighting setups cause different colors to come out or coralimorphs, the HQI bulbs seem to bring the best colors....those and the blue leds!

if it were my tank, i would switch the blue bulb for another white one, so that there are two white pcs. then i would stuff every bit of the hood with blue led bulbs. i think that would look amazing with the whites off. ricordea and mushrooms really pop under blue led lights....so much more than regular actinics.

the stock flow seems to be fine. on his tank i really wish there was an overflow becasue the surface collects a bunch of waste.

good luck...
