Hello, I'm hoping to get some ideas for my 180 (30x30x48''). Only the left 30x30x30 will have rock. Specifically, I'm looking for support structures that will leave a minimum of rock touching the bottom. Zip ties seem like a pain to work with, and leave little room for later alterations. One idea I had was to use 1/2'' pvc to create a sort of spiked tetrahedron (like the wood crosses you can imagine being used to support barbed wire for military purposes), and then to drill the rock with 1/2'' holes, allowing them to be slid on and off the structure. A modification of this would be to use a thick steel wire in the middle of some half inch flex, and then to fill the tube with either epoxy or cement. This would allow for curves.
I'm not looking to stack rocks on themselves. I'm specifically looking for a support structure that allows easy removal of rock from time to time. Pics, thoughts, and insights would be greatly appreciated.
