I have a Florida cerith snail that is a fairly recent addition to the tank, and it has a white bulge on the side of its shell. I thought it was a malformation, until I realized today that it is moving almost like it is breathing. Anyone know what this might be? It is round, perhaps 1/4" across and 1/4" deep, the center has almost a star shape of a slightly darker color, in the center of which is a part that opens and closes (the bright white dot in the picture).
