CREE XRE-RB on Star replacement LED's

Just wondering if who knows what is the best replacement LED for my CREE XRE - Royal Blue on Star? I have a DIY fixture and a couple need to be replaced but Rapid LED no longer carries the CREE XRE-RB on Star. Would the XP-E Royal Blue be the replacement to get? Will it work if I just solder the XP-E in place of the XRE? Thanks.

Replacement XRE RB's are almost double the price of XPE Royal Blues. Is there much difference? Will it look odd if I mix XPE and XRE royal blue LEDs together in the same fixture?
