Critique The Scape!!!

I like the second try better. Though maybe add some more height to one or two of the rock formations. Can't tell from the pictures, but they don't seem very tall.

I'd maybe go a tad higher in the group at the back wall and leave a little more open space in front. But that's me and I'm not laying on the floor for perspective. What worried me though was with my wife and all the crap she uses to clean our floors I wouldn't want my rock sitting on it! LOL. good luck with your build man.

My wife thinks I'm crazy because I keep laying on the ground to get the view of it being at eye level. I plan on making ledges and some more caves once I start putting it all together with acrylic rods and glue.

My wife thinks I'm crazy cuz I'm months away from my build and I'm talking about it every day, visiting LFS's, etc. Your rock plan looks great...

I prefer the scape in post #5. Not to sound critical, but they both sort of look like piles of rocks. I don't like dead spots so I am not a huge fan of scapes that are only piles of rock or even worse, a wall of rocks. What will the focus of the tank be? Fish, sps, softies? Once corals start to grow, the tank may look a bit "packed".
