Croatia Clam - Dieing?
Hi,
I just noticed this morning that my purple croatia clam seems to be dieing. It was lieing on its side which has happed before numerous times. The purple flesh around the mantle is receding. I picked up the clam and looked under toward its foot and noticed that the it has a whole I can see through it which is quite different view from my other clam. What may have caused it to start dieing.
Water changes 2 times a week. 7-10 gal. my salinity is at 1.022, Nitrate 25ppm, calicium 480ppm, phos .03, ph 8.0, Ammonia 0, Nitrie 0
I did add to med sized Emerald crabs will they attack or start eating the clam when it lies on it side?
