Crocea clam HELP!!!

Travis, glad to see you found one of my posts. lol Whats QT? quarentine? No he's in the tank and the alk and ph are all good 8.3 temp is 80.1 I just about give up! A tank without a clam kinda sucks though...
 
rockitman h2o parms? If you are refering to the readings of the tests. They are as follows. Calcium 530 ish kit don't have a reading where it is at. Ph 8.3 nitrate is 10ppm. Oh God what else is there. Ammonia is good I have an in tank one. Reads ok. also checked last night and it's good. As well as nitrite. I forget those readings but they are right where normal is supposed to be....I'm sure i'm forgetting a few here but the only one i found out of three differen't test kits that was out of wack is the nitrate... I did just put four barbed brass fittings onto a diy nitrator i made, but it was closing way before that.... I dought it has anything to do with it... salinity is 1.023 Don't know anything else?

brass is a copper alloy. copper is toxic to inverts, remove them asap.

do a search on your own posts and tell me how many are about snails dieing, mushrooms dieing ect...
 
Why would the other inverts grow and the clam not? I just don't get it...Special needs, what a spoiled brat! lol If there was something in the water thats not supposed to be there then wouldn't the other inverts have troubles as well?
 
I just put the brass nipples in there yesturday. I will take them out now that you told me that. Thank you, but I don't see that being the trouble...Ok I forgot about those posts. Got by that trouble though. My snails are ok and the shrooms are good as well now... Growing actually!
 
Those snails where from petco and it seemed like the trouble with them was from petco as theres died as well. The mushroom was just me worrying to much it seems...
 
I'm going to hook up the r/o unit asap. Also check the clorine and put on plastis nipples instead... Thanks for your replies mbbuna this might just be the answer. Thanks all! Sorry If i don't seem to remember everything I write. I do suffer from short term memorie loss. It is real with me people.....Thanks again!

That is not true at all, as posted before a proper T5ho setup will do wonders for clams.
