Crocea clam HELP!!!

Mbbuna, Ok I changed out the brass for nylon fittings so thats not a factor anymore. Added som Start right for the clorine and the metals... Is this good? Until I can get my R/O up and working anyways....

just wondering on how many watts of pc's you have over the 150 gal. and where is the clam placed. yes ppl have kept clams under pc lighting but depends on the tank

Hiya Kau, 96 watts and right at the top of the water. About 6 inches under tops. The store I bought it from had it at least half way down so i'm not getting it here. Unless the r/o water means that much to a clam and not the othe inverts. Like I said before, I have a stoney coral in there and it's doing just fine. Wish I could remember what it's called. Looks like a large silver dollar. Flat like that. Mouth in the middle...I have glaxia, mushrooms, etc. and they are al doing good...Thanks for replying...

96 watt PCs aren't nearly enough for Crocea clams. The only reason the LFS can get away with keeping them under PC lighting is because the LFS is only meant to be a temporary home, and not a permanent one.

Crocea are way up the list with SPS on the lines of how much light they need, and honestly I can't see it doing well at all in your tank.

The stoney that you describe sounds like a type of LPS brain coral. They aren't that demanding as far as their light goes, same with the mushrooms and the galaxia.

The only clams that have had any constant documented success with PC lighting are derasa and squamosa.
