Crocea Clam Trouble

bought the clam about a month ago and has been doing very well on the top of my tank, nice and open, somewhat brown but had been coloring up nicely, developing a very sharp blue line around the outside of the mantle.

tank params.
110g dual overflow, fuge with chemipure and cheato, protein skimmer.
temp 80, although we did lose power the other day and tank got down to below 74, not sure how low, I wasn't home at the time.
ph 8.2
nitrites/ammonia 0
nitrates 6,
calcium ~300-400, using mrs wages drip

started to shrink 2 days ago, and has looked the same, clam is responsive, but for the most part just stays open.

note: the clam has been in the same spot since I got it and has never taken hold.

I picked it up and looked at it tonight and notice a filament looking thing on the bottom opening, kinda had some brown spots in it and a copepod came scurring out of it.

fish: 3 stripe damsel, yellow tail damsel, coral beauty, tomato clown, percula clown
inverts: cleaner shrimp, tiger serpent star, emerald crabs, blue and tiger stripe hermits, nassarius snails.

I have never seen anything even go close to it, serpent star stays on bottom of tank.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you in advance,

Dustin

This thread should really go into the clam forum above this one.

But maybe that temperature drop might have shocked it? I'm no expert at clams. Or it may be really unhappy if your calcium levels are 300-400. I think they need a minimum of 460 ppm of calcium.

How long has it been like this? Since the power went out?

Good luck with your clam
