HELLO EVERYONE
I'VE GOT A QUESTION ABOUT CROCEA CLAMS?
I HAD MY CROCEA CLAM FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS BUT IT DIED MONDAY 10/9/06
THE WATER QUALITY IS FINE WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
ANY SUGGESTIONS

I PUT THE CLAM MID LEVEL OF THE TANK WITH ROCKS SURROUNDING IT BECAUSE BEFORE I HAD THE CLAM ON TOP OF THE SAND BUT I HAVE TWO GOBYS THAT KEEPS ON SPITTING SAND IN IT. MY LIGHTS ARE ORBIT OUTFITTERS WITH 3 HQI LIGHTS BULBS AND DUAL ACTINIC

There are any number of reasons your clam died, was it injured at all-perhaps its foot when you moved it, was it opening fully, are sure sure your water params are all check out? maybe those gobies were a factor, were they still bothering the clam?

More info needed.

P.S theres no need to type in capitals, it comes off a little aggressive/impatient

If it was less than 3", it might have starved--they need phytoplankton targeted--until ~3", or a fish harassed it??

I had a crocea and an acro die in the same day when I acidently dropped a small brass bolt in my aquarium, they dies imediatly! I found the bolt thay night while I was do some investigation. I recently got another clam though, take a look:-)
