Crocea grading?

How are crocea's graded? I mean ive heard of 1st grade and ultra and electric. Im just curious how its done i guess i have to get a pic of mine im curious as to what it would be graded.

Grading is marketing tool that the exporters use. The more vibrent the color and pattern the more they cost.

Normally grading that is used by many is:

Tridacna maxima

Ultra - very vibrent in color and pattern
1st grade- Not as vibrent, normally blue, purple and gold in color but still very nice.

Tridacna crocea

Super or Electric - same as Ultra
1st grade
2nd grade- very washed out color. Won't see too many of this grade on the market.

The best (color wise and pattern) normally go to Asia and Europe as they are willing to pay big bucks for their clams.
