Crocea growth

i have had this crocea for about a month now about 12-15 inches under 250w 10k ushio se for about 1 month. it has grown 1/8 of of an inch in a month. does anyone have that type of growth out of there clams.

my gold maxima about 24 inches away from the light has grown 3/16 of an inch in a month.

I think that because the parameters are so different that the variation could be pretty wide from tank to tank. I don't have my copy of D Knops book right now but it should give you an idea.

Well all clams grow at different rates, and of course it will also be different in each tank. Depending on your calcium levels, and we know your light.. having your clam grow at that rate sounds just about right. The crocea clam grows to about 6 inches max. The Maxima can reach about 16 inches. They grow a bit faster than the Crocea from what I have seen. Anyways I hope this helps.. what are your other perameters and feeding habits?
