Crocea help

I'm getting a Crocea Clam today and want to know the best place to put it. I'd like to keep it close to the bottom of the tank but I know that they are rock borers. Should I just put it on a piece of rock in the sand bed or will they survive directly in the sand bed?

Well, no matter what make sure you put a rock under the foot, otherwise it will burrow down and attach to the glass.

Croceas require a lot of light and as above they prefer to be placed on rockwork. If "happy," they will attach fairly quickly.
