I have a 90 gallon and i'm running 240 watt compact flor, also a 70 watt pendant halide over the clam, he is in the middle of my tank and seems to be opening but i've only had him for a day. Is this the right placement for the clam also my compact lighting bulbs are 2 days old so very new and bright.
How may hours a day should I run the halide? i'm running the compact about 12 hours a day

i have never heard of a 125 metal halide fixture. can you give us more info on your that fixture?

reef halides come in 70 150 175 250 400... you can get 125 but they dont make a k rating bulb that would be sufficient for a reef, are you sure it isnt any of the reef halide watts i listed?
