I have added a 5" crocea clam to my 90 gal tank, 30" deep. I have (2) 250 W MH 10K bulbs with (2) 110W VHO URI blue bulbs for lighting.
Currently the clam is on the sand bed in the front of the tank and appears in good health. I know crocea clams prefer to be on the rocks but most of my rock is branching rock and is covered with a combination of LPS and SPS corals. I would prefer to keep the clam on the sand bed but will rearrange the tank if needed.
I dont have any large flat pieces of rock to set the clam on, will it be OK nested within the branching rock if I need to move the clam higher in the tank.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
