crocea problem

How long have you had it? Could the frogspawn have stung it?Add lots of carbon. Are any of your other clams looking different too? The alk shouldnt bother it as long as it didnt jump quickly to 10 from a lower level.

Hey,

I would check your salinity, it is very low. I checked it when my step-daughter got the carpet anemone. Rease it slowly over a few days.

Do you use GFO for phosphate? I was having trouble with a blue Crocea and FW dips helped, but only short term. I read an article which said the Iron in the GFO supported a protozoa that irritated clams. I removed the GFO and the problem resolved itself. I assume that the dip killed the pest and it did not regrow after the phosgone was removed.

I do not disagree with the advise above. It's all correct. A frogspawn has sweeper tenticales that are many times longer than the rest of the animal.
