Crocea- sand or rock???

Everyone is telling me something else, which is it do they like to live on the rock or in the sandbed?????

they are found on the reef (rocks) in the wild, and do best when they can anchor to something solid, so I vote rocks 100%.

They're also called "boring clam", because in the wild they dig a hole in the rock and bury themselves in. So, rock it is. But if you really want to keep it in the sand, it will survive.

Their natural habitat is within the rock work where their Byssal strands can grab hold of the rock work to stabilize them. Eventually you will find them boring into the rock itself as do the maxima's.
