Emerald Crab or Gorilla??

I bought this “Emerald” crab from my LFS today. When I got home and actually had a chance to look at it, I realized it looks a lot hairier than my current Emerald crab. Can anyone tell if this is an Emerald, Gorilla, or something else???

Bad crabs have pointy ones. This is one of 3 rock crabs that came in my live rock.

Be aware that some of these dangerous reef things can be very fun and rewarding to keep if you have a way. Rock crabs get big.
One of them got somewhat tame and came up so you could hand feed it if you went in the fish room.

Agreed, that it's an Emerald. Also agree with @wvned that some of the "dangerous/non-reef safe" critters can be fun. Years ago, Mantis shrimp were considered a horrible tank inhabitant and people recommended to get rid of them at all costs. Back in the 90s, I had one in my reef that I fed by hand and never had issues with him. Today, many people keep a dedicated tank for Mantis.

Wish I was as lucky!

A “green mantis” (which I have no idea how it got in without LR) stalked, beat and dragged off an Orchid Dottyback at night while I watched. Two more rock dwellers were found “beaten up” over next two weeks.

Only blessing was he’s a poor swimmer, slow and not overly smart.

Found and eliminated!
