so i got a pair of golden head sleeper gobies about a week ago and they have finally started to sift the sand normaly now. well the problem is my crocea likes to be on the sand in my tank. everytime i put it higher it makes its way back to the sand no matter were i put it. so my problem is this......the gobies keep droping sand all inside my crocea, is this going to hurt my clam? should i keep trying to blow it off with a turkey baster? what should i do if anything?

thanks

here are some pictures of my clam. in the pictures you can see some of the sand on the clam. somebody please help me on this, this is the first clam i have had and it looks to be doing fine other then this little problem and i dont want to loose it over something stupid.

Croceas can remove sand by rapidly opening and closing a few times. It really comes down to how often the goby is throwing sand at it and how much sand.

they throw sand in it every day and it varies from day to day on how much sand. i would really like a postive answer on this subject. i would hate to loose this clam from not having the help i asked for.

I have two Maxima's ( (1) 9" and (1) 4 inch) and I had to move them up on the rocks because of my dragon goby.

well, that sucks. there is no way they are coming outa the tank now unless i take the entire tank apart.

Same here. That's why my clams are now up on the rocks.
