Hi all i have a 175w 13k halide and was hoping to get a crocea clam and place it on the sand bed. The light is 22" off the bed. Will this be enough light for a crocea. It will be a little while before I get this clam though i have to get my calcium levels up first they are at only 300.

Croceas will do fine under 175 watt lights.

Croceas don't go in the sand. Put him on a nice flat topped piece of live rock. In the wild they disolve down into the rock.

Read all you can about clams. They are a different beasty than fish or coral. Once you have one you will find yourself planning your entire setup so you can accomodate more!

i have a tank with 175 and 3 croceas all are at the bottom and about 30inches from teh lights and all do well.
