I did this about 2 years ago with a lot of success, but this time I'm missing one resource that I think helped a lot during my last move. I was able to borrow an oxygen bottle from Aquariums to fill my bags before packing them, but no store down here has a little bottle to loan out. The critters were all bagged and stuffed in a cooler for the trip. They were in bags for ~24hrs and I had no losses. The water temp dropped maybe 5* during a move in March from OK to FL.

SO! I'll be using the same methods, but I lack access to an o2 bottle. The move will be the exact same, just backwards. I'll be hauling everything from FL to OK and I anticipate ~24hrs in bags. Isn't there some sort of tablet that can be added to the bag that releases o2 as it dissolves? If so, is it effective and worth the cost? Where might I buy some?

If you have a good outdoor sporting goods store that sells backpacking/rock climbing gear, they might sell small handheld o2 bottles. They are only about 25 bucks and are sold to people to relieve/prevent altitude sickness, but would probably hold enough juice to fill some fish bags.

PS when I did this (it was a freshwater tank for my cross country move) I actually moved my fish in 5 gallon buckets with lids .When we stopped for the night, I stuck pumps in the buckets.

I"m actually not overly concerned with the fish. I only have 2 small clarkii clowns, a couple small damsels, a Randal's goby and a lawnmower blenny. None of them are large and they're all pretty tough fish. I'd definitely use buckets if I was hauling tangs or something bigger.

Yup! I worked hard, graduated #3 in my class and got to basically wrote my own ticket. Luckily the AWACS has a navigator on it, so I get to come home.

I bought some breather bags, so hopefully that helps out. We're pulling the house apart right now to get things ready for the movers. Thank god the AF pays for all of that crap. We'll be towing a U-haul with a month's worth of essentials and will go house hunting after we get there.
