Crosshatch Trigger Question

I bought a female crosshatch a couple of weeks ago and I found a male at a good price now. Could I introduce a male in the tank with her without having a problem with her?

I've seen it go either way. Most of the times it's worked well, it's been in larger tanks, so you might be pushing it.

I have done it in the past, but have a divider ready to seperate them. Crosshatches are pretty docile (as triggers go). I have a male now and I am waiting for my LFS to get a female. The female died after arriving at the LFS.

I figured it could go either way so I think I'll pass on the male. I don't need to tear my tank apart if I can avoid it.
