Crosshatch Triggers

RBU1

Moving on Up
I will be getting a pair of Crosshatches in a couple of weeks. I would like to see some pictures from those that have them in a reef. How has their temperment been? Have they eaten any shrimp? Any does/dont's? Thanks in advance.

Hope its a BIG tank. They will swim like there's no tomorrow. My pair never bothered shrimp at all. But tehy were all added prior to the triggers. I ended up selling them because my tank was nowhere near big enough for them.

Well fed it will be.....Anyone have any pictures of theirs they would like to share.....

Any other tricks/tips for me?

They will get a prazi pro treatment followed by 4 weeks in cuprmaine. With a week between each treatment and a large water change....

Keeping them well fed will minimize the chances of them sampling anything you don't want them to eat.

The key word there is minimize. It will not eliminate them as my pair proved when they ate one of my Green Chromis alive, then the male went on to devour one of my Flame Hawks and one of my Borbonius Anthias. And this was in a 500g. Needless to say, they are both former residents.

Well I am hoping that you had a rare pair....

All the reading I have done on crosshatches labels them as peaceful....

Lets hope I get a peaceful pair.....

They usually are. Just have a backup plan in case you get a pair that's not.
