crusty polyps?

I just got some new frags,a few of the have some hard crusty rust colored polyps,they opened up nicely the first day in my tank now the ones with the hard crusty polyps have remained closed ,any thoughts thanks

Maybe use a soft toothbrush to see if you can rub it off? I dunno if it'd help, but unless you rub too hard and kill the polyps it's worth a shot.
