Cryptic Six line Wrasse

Never heard of a cryptic six line wrasse... Only know of a regular six line wrasse? Where did you hear of this?

I'm guessing that you are wanting to know information about the differences between Six Line Wrasses (Pseudocheilinus hexataenia) and Cryptic Wrasses (Pteragogus species). If so, then I would read up here about their relatives. - http://fishbase.org/NomenClature/Sc...ntains&crit2_value=&group=summary&backstep=-2

Are you referring to Pseudocheilinops ataenia? I haven't heard of that particular species being very aggressive at all.

DOH! I had the wrong genus. :rolleyes1:

I didn't even pay attention to that pic (sorry), but yeah that's P. ataenia. I didn't know if the poster was referring to this guy or the Pteragogus species.

I want one of those! thats cool i've had a six line before but never seen one that looks like that one.

Well I just got one and i am hoping that it will not mess with my fairy wrasse which it hasn't yet mostly because it hasn't come out of its rock it is hiding in yet but i is a beautiful fish and seems to be way more docile than the regular six line wrasse

Their commonly referred to as "Pink Streak Wrasses" and they are incredibly peaceful. I had a pair and they were really passive. I do believe that they eat flatworms. I had a nano plumbed into my main and it had flatworms all over it, but my main was clean as a whistle. And they were the only wrasses in it.
