Ctenochaetus hawaiiensis color change

I am interested to add juvenile Ctenochaetus hawaiiensis in my reef tank.

When Ctenochaetus hawaiiensis change color ?

What is recomended size of juvenile Ctenochaetus hawaiiensis, to observe at least few months juvenile coloration ?

Mine was the size of a quarter when i bought it and i noticed its color starting to darken after about 3 years of having it. I have had it for almost 5 years now and it is full changed to adult colors. Its about 4.5" long now and it started its change at about 3".

If you don't like the adult color, please don't buy the fish.

I like adult color also, but I would like to observe both colors and also color changing.

I have had fish in my aquarium from 3 years to 10 years and more, so i keep them on long term. I never bought fish for one year.
