Cuban hogfish

Anyone have first hand experience with a Cuban hogfish in a reef? I'm looking to close my qt tank and want one more fish. The quick read says that they can become more aggressive and may eat crustaceans when they get bigger. It seems like they max out around 8" which isn't bad. Plus I intend on getting a tiny sized one which would likely keep him under 6" contained in a reef tank.

I've had many Cuban Hogs in the past 40 yrs... Start with a small one, they can get big... they did get aggressive (even at 3-4") with new/smaller fish

It would be my last fish. Smallest fish in the tank are yellow coris wrasse pair and bicolor anthias.

My achilles chases around a lawnmower blenny he hates, but I feed heavy and none of my fish show aggression.

I'm hoping for under $75. I don't wanna have my qt tank running any longer and probably wouldn't get any new fish unless one dies. Unless a new fish is discovered or a cool hybrid pops up this would wrap it up. Making clownfish uglier doesn't qualify as a new species imo.

Yea in FL for a juvenile. Super cheap. It's through an online store so with shipping it comes out to like $50. but since they are near by I can just call them and buy there. FL Keys to be more specific

That's what I thought...I used to get them from Dynasty Marine in Marathon Key, and Reeftopia

reeftopia has them for $75 not including shipping.

I'm looking to get one around 2". I find that smaller the fish the smaller they stay restricted in tanks.
