Cube size for BTA and false percs

I want to set up a tank for my bta and false percs. I was thinking about getting a 40g breeder, but now I'm thinking I might order from glasscages.com. They have a 42g, 20x20x24, acrylic cube tank listed on thier site. Do you think that tank would be a sufficent size for what I want. If it wouldn't work I would order a 50g, 24x24x20. Any one have some input one way or the other?

I think that the 50 gall will be better. 20 deep is nicer for reaching than 24 and you will like the extra area and volumn in the tank. You will really notice the extra area and be happy.

As far as I understand all of those sizes should be large enough for what you want to keep so its more of what you and the animals will like rather than what you and the animals will need.

I have had a glass aquarium from them for 2+ years and I don't have a single complaint. I think they are like any other company you are going to have some good stuff and some messups every now and then. You get the same thing with AGA, Perfecto, Oceanic, and most other companies.

I have an acrylic glass cages tank and it's been great. Anyway, if I were you i'd get the 50g. I like the dimensions better.

getting the largest tank posible will allow you to keep other stuff with the BTA. But if you want the BTA, and only the BTA, a 24 aquacube would be perfect. Another advantage is that good flow can be had without powerheads!!

I have a BTA in my 29g. He's pretty young and it already takes up a lot of real estate. I fully expect it to take up most of my room in the future.

Sure is a fun tenant, though!

Here he is at only a few months old:

Mine is in a 40 long. I have no plans of anything else in it, so it's good for me. I'd go with whichever you like the looks of. I would love a cube for mine.

this tank will only be for:
1 bta
2 false percs
1 cleaner shrimp
misc zoas
I didn't hear back from glasscages yet, so I have contacted some other companies. I'm leaning towards a 20" cube. It will be lit by 1 250w xm 20k

welsher...I just got an email about the basic same sizes from glasscages, pm me for the quotes.
