Cubes VS 40b or 65b

So i really like the look of cube aquariums but i cant seem to find a good read on the shape of the tank and the pluses and minuses they pose.
This will be my first reef and i will be sticking will laid back/beginner living creatures and corals. I also plan to use aquascaping techs to have a more right or left sides rock base and a good amount of sand bed.
I plan to buy used and have been seeing some good deals out there so prices for the setups will be similar.

Is flow different in cube tanks?
Is there anything to watch out for?

I had the same debate when I was setting up. I ended up going with a 40B for one reason - aquascaping. With a cube, you're a bit limited to stacking most of the rock in the center. With a 40B, you have more options. I love the dimensions of the 40B.

Sump size was tough when I setup my 60G cube. the tank is 24 inches but inside the stand is 23.5 inches. it really only allowed for a 10G tank or a custom sump.

I went 10G

ok yea thay makes some good points. i reaply want a 20 gap sump
