CUC and DT cycling

After trying to get a mixed tank set up for a year and a half, at last I can do so. It's amazing the things that can pop up when you want to do something else. So please don't tell me I don't have patience. .Any way;
Equipment wish I believe I have what I need to set my system up
I have a 10 & 20 gal QT tank. My still to be cycled DT is 120 gals.
I am starting my DT cycle as soon as I plumb it.
Your opinions please on using Stability on the 10 & 20 QTs for CUC (feeding with flakes and algae sheet) and my first 2 fish in the QTs, while the DT cycles only with rock and sand inside.
Once it is cycled, adding the CUC and the fish.
Thanks.

if you already have two tanks dedicated for QT, why not use the Tank Transfer Method, aka TTM?

that way, you actually won't need to worry about cycling the QT tank.

here is a good thread on TTM:

i did use Stability to cycle my QT, and it seemed to work (about 4 - 5 day "cycle"), however i can't say for sure if it was due to that, or not.

On that note, I have a 20 gal long QT that I did cycle, once I was done with the TTM. I cycled the QT knowing the fish were going to be in there for at least 4 weeks.

Can TTM instead of QT be used on CUC to eradicate ich if it is there as well?
I am hoping that I can get the fish QT period done in sync with the DTs cycle.
I am not trying to cut corners here. However, I don't want to be redundant when not necessary.

yes, it can.

conversely, if you decide not to do TTM, you can use uncycled QT tanks. just make sure to keep a close eye on your ammonia levels, which you would manage with complete water changes as the need arises (probably every few days).

For the most part I have the exact same setup, except I didn't use any chemicals to cycle. I started both QTs about a month before the DT, I estimated about a month to cycle. I was going to use the ttm but decided not to because of the way 1 of my LFS is setup, now if I were to get a tang, I'm most differently doing it. It's also not hard to break rules you setup for yourself, I did that by not QTing my eel or shrimp, but I do have 3 fish currently in the 20 QT that will stay until QT time is up.

I would just add TTM does not target the encysted stage of ich, as far as I know only time will take care of that.

Proposed QT for the CUC. I have placed the tank by the window to speedup algae growth and hope it works. Yes. I am moving this tank before CUC goes in
