I am in the process of ordering an Innovative Marine Fusion 20 and am wondering what my CUC should be. I know I want to do a few snails for algae and a minimal amount of hermits (maybe 1-2). I also want to do something that will sift the sand and keep it clean. If anyone can provide some insight on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

The only CUC that seems to live in my tank are trochus snails for algae eating and hermit crabs/nassarius snails for general scavenging. I have had the same nassarius snails and hermit crabs for 4 years.
Ceriths and nerites don't live long. Hermits tend to murder them.
Turbos are great at mowing down tons of algae if you get a big algae bloom in a new tank, but they don't seem to live forever either.
