cuc? ID please

can anyone id this? i think its a cuc but im not sure. it came on some stuff i got today. i want to make sure this little guy wont hurt my tank. thanks!

I should add that he also did not get acclimated properly because I didn't know what it was. I thought it was the base of the plant because he was so small. I'm a little nervous after reading about cucumbers killing stuff! Any advice is appreciated as well. I just want to off him if he's no harm.
 
It certainly looks like a cucumber. Not all are dangerous. I had a cucumber die in my 56 gallon tank once, and I did not have a skimmer, and everything in the tank (other than the cucumber) was fine. I still haven't unpacked all my books from moving, so I can't tell you what species it is, but hopefully it will survive its rough acclimation.
