CUC in sump wich ones

my sump is always collecting a brown powder thats all over the floor of the sump is there a CUC that i can put in my sump that will clean that up a little bit. its really difficult to clean

Not really, what ever CUC you put in there is going to lay waste in it's place so your not going to get any where. most people use a filter sock to help control that and what passes through your going to have to clean out yourself.

Like Sisterlimonpot said, there really isn't. I use a filter sock 24/7 now and I switch it out once a week when I do my water change and it has helped a whole lot.

If you have a skimmer in your sump which you probably do, your sails will turn into chopped snail sprinkles (seen it).

I would just use a powerhead or baster every once in a while in the sump to get all that stuff stirred up in the water column.....then you will need a filter sock or some other mechanical filtration to filter it out......and FYI it is common to have some buildup in the sump....if it isn’t bad and not creating a high nitrate level, then maybe not worry that much about it.....

Right now I have a couple Mexican Turbo's in my sump they keep it super clean, I just vacume the bottom of debris every water chang.
